Seeing the Best of Vegas on a Big Beefy Budget

There are some holiday destinations where it’s totally possible to have a great time on a shoestring and Las Vegas doesn’t come very high up that list. The City of Sin is all about indulgence, whether that’s tucking into top-quality food at an enormous buffet, playing a whole afternoon away at the roulette table, or staying in one of the most opulent suites that money can buy.

Whilst all of these things can be budgeted down to be affordable for anyone on a moderate income, Vegas is one destination where if you’ve got a healthy budget, you’re going to have much more fun. So, with that in mind, we’ve put together a guide to squeezing the most enjoyment possible out of a vacation to Vegas with absolutely no limits where budget is concerned.

View The Strip From a Helicopter

A walk down the Strip is a fun way to familiarize yourself with Vegas. There’s always something going on and so many famous sights to see that you could wander up and down for hours and never get bored. If you wanted to kick things up a notch then there’s a zipline that lets you soar way above it and take in the sights with a bit more speed and altitude. However, if you really want the VIP experience then there’s only one way to do it and that’s from a helicopter.

It’s now possible to book a fifteen-minute helicopter ride that will take you way up over the city, allowing you to look down on everything from a totally unique point of view. They will pick you up from your hotel, in a limousine if you require one, and take you to the take-off pad. From there you’ll enjoy a glass of champagne as you look at all that Vegas has to offer. It is possible to organize a special meal in the Eiffel Tower restaurant after your flight, but we’ve got poker to play, so that might have to wait!

Play Poker at The Bellagio

Bobby’s Room at The Bellagio is world-famous for having one of the highest table limits in the world. The biggest limit you can play here is $100,000 which could turn your vacation into a serious budget buster. However, if you have the means and you want to experience Bobby’s Room then there’s really no other poker experience quite like it.

Once inside, it’s likely you’ll be playing against some of the best-known poker ambassadors in the world. Daniel Negreanu calls Vegas his hometown and has tournament winnings to the tune of $49,924,498 to his name. If you’re up against this guy then there’s little chance of a win, but in a venue as grand as Bobby’s Room at The Bellagio, the winning isn’t even nearly the most important part.

Splurge on a Special Meal

There are so many special places to dine in Las Vegas that it would be impossible to mention them all. Many people swear by the buffet at Caesars Palace and it is truly a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. If you have a big appetite and enjoy seafood, steak, and any of the other delicacies that you can imagine, in large quantities, then you’ll love this experience.

If you have a smaller appetite then the Restaurant by Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace might be a better choice. This restaurant serves elegant French cuisine in a simply stunning restaurant. The menu is devised by the Michelin-starred chef Guy Savoy, so you’re in more than capable hands.
